PC back in my room
Wii Fit - Daniel.. your BMI is 28 and your overweight!

soo, thats what it says, it also said i have the body of a 45 year old =/. Now I have to be honest, thats quite a blow when it comes to my selfesteam.. I had the understanding that i was over weight, but 25 is the bmi i need, and the machine said I have to loose 15KG (2 stone) to be the correct weight. I've had alot of people tell me that the BMI is very outdated and I shouldn't take it too serrious, but you know what, maybe its a good thing, perhaps i'll start taking a bit more care of myself.

Beware.. its MANGA MESSIAH!
So,
While in dublin I bought a few books, lets check em out!
The Walking Dead by Robert Kirkman & Tony Moore.
Ahh.. you like zombie stuff? I sure dont! Which suprised me because this was recomended by the guy at the shop, highly infact! And you know what, i'm glad he did. This comic has all the usual blood n gore, but there is also somthing else, a story line! To sum it up with out going to the middle or the ending, A typical police man gets shot to wake upto a zombie nation in the hospital later.. yeah yeah kinda like the guy from 28 Days later. I'd gotten the 1st in a 6 part series.. and yeah, you know Will get the rest.

Jellyfist by J.Vasquez & J.Goldberg
Ummm.. well.. shit its from the guy who does Johnny The Homicidal Maniac.. which I also own.. so. draw your own conclusions!

Manga Messiah by Hidenori Kumai, Kozumi Shinozawa, Atsuko Ogawa, Chihaya Tsutsumi, Kenichi Nakagawa & Toshikazu Iwaoka
A joint effort by these guys to make the bible into a manga, now I know what your asking so let me give you the low down on how I bought it. There was a big ass sign on a book shop which i thought was ment to be some twist on the bible.. well it turns out the book shop was a chirstian book shop and the twist on the bible.. was just that.. it was the manga form of the bible.
Now you know, the drawing is quite good, and well fair be it from me to judge peoples religions, so you know.. if you ever did want to read that mamoth of a book the bible, and you can't be assed, check out the this one. you'll be suprised just how true they make it to the manga form.. includling sladly dressed ladies! (well, thats only happens once in the book)

To Dublin & Back
Ahhh, Dublin week.
I'm back and let me tell you what a week! I didn't bring down the good camera because I didn't want it taken off me at the concert, so all these shots were taken with my trusty O2 Atom Life phone, which, has a great camera I must say for such a small device.. the downside is this sucker eats batteries for brakefast.. I can't say lunch & tea puerly because it dosn't last that long.
So we took the train down at 11.20am, which got us to dublin around 2pm, I was excited because rumors of having 'free wifi' were about, but that turned out to be not true.. or the more likely case is that it was a trial and it didn't go well. When we got to the Dublin trainstation they had these new machines that you had to use your card with, it would slide in, and the door would open to let you threw, a touch of class was that it made the old style "toot toot" noice when you placed your card in and it was read.
We stayed at a B&B (which is bed and brakefast, sort of a overnight stay, there massive here in Ireland) Which was great because the bus stop was only right outside our hotel. When I got the city center I made one mistake that nearly killed me.. If you look at the pictures there is a picture of a large yello person walking.. that isn't the "safe to walk across the rood sign" thats just art.. In Dublin city we went hunting for food, which lead us to a great little place that I ordered shark from and then it was off to our concert.
The concert was great, and the best suprise was we didnt know we had actualy bought frount row tickets!! I know it sounds crazy, but its totaly true and we just had no idea, the only upset of the concert was the security guards watching the exits, when you took one step outside, you were no longer aloud to go back in the way you came, which was fine.. execpt we had 5 different people tell us 5 different ways to get in and out.
The concert was big loud.. and I think the guy beside us was a magical because he had a full beer the whole night, now you have to remmber we couldn't bairly move.. yet this guy managed to fully drink a beer, and mysticaly have another to replace his.. voodoo? who knows.
When it was all said and done we took the bus back home, and then we retired for the night.
The next morning we went packed our bags and headed straight into Dublin City Center again, I took some shots of whats called "the spike" which wasn't so bad, we also saw the bullet holes that were in the Gerneral Post Office from 1916 Easter Rising.
Sadly.. the camera/phone died, so I couldn't take pictures of the Hard Rock Cafe.. however Eilís did take a picture of me drinking an Appletini, which if i can, i'll post up later on some day. Then we dashed over to the Cinema to see Indiana-Jones & The Crystal Skulls, which was nothing but pure awsome!
I'll not say anything about it tho, least I spoil it,
And then.. well we took the train and we went home
/sigh

So i've got 2 Level 70's under my belt.. also another char which is now 60.. slowly going to 61.. however this is my relax char. You see when you finish to level 70 twice.. you start to realise that maybe leveling was as fun as just the journey to get there. Kinda a lot like life isn't it.. Anyway so i've spent all day just fishing.. yep.. virtual fishing thats how lazy i have become! Its good fun tho.. a few drinks, clicking on that little dot.. oh and Twit Live or your favourate music in the back ground helps alot!

Mad maddest writer!

It was a great night of viewing! the Twit.tv is in full swing, and leo is getting right back into his tv mood full swing. The only sad thing is that he did buy a new camera for his show, but the ebay customer seams to have done a runner, and is trying to draw out his "recovery" peroid so he can't claim any money.
Anway, we had the cool Mad maddest writer Dicky D from "The Daily Giz Wiz" and let me tell you, he was confused with Stickam but at the end of it all, he had great fun talking to us for along time.
In personal news, i'm heading to see the great Bruce Springsteen on thursday with my girlfriend Eilís, which is going to be just the bomb! i am bringing my EEEPC because where i am staying has free wifi, so i'll post some pictures that night. Also, Dopefish, my great friend who hasn't been around on his blog for awhile is comming back into the swing of it, which is great! check out Dopefish in side bar for his blog, he's an exercise-o-holic!
3V price change for europe!
Hey, check it out we got a price adjustment of the following for 3V cards. The following go this way. If you've got a €20 euro top up, its now free, €30 to €100 now only pay a €2.50 charge & €110 - the maxium (which is €350) is the standard €5 rate.
I got a question as well, if you can only take €350 out at a time.. can you put this into a paypal account and keep putting your €350 top ups into it to buy more expensive things?
Any replies to this little idea would be great.
Schladerer!

Thats.. some language for.. somthing.. truth is my boss just got back from his holidays, and i for the life of me can't remmber where.. seroulsy it's like i'm being forced to not remmber.. and way he got me these ;D
All i know is they are Alcholic.. and thats alright by me.. they are fruit drinks.. and lets see.. ah here is somthing written on the back
"Although not so well-known as the other Schladerer fruit brandies..." ah okay they are fruit brandies!

Culture Fair Day
Well, I know this is a good few days late, but finaly, here it is, so stop nagging me!! haha. The following is the fair day that we had in Tubbercurry, it was just a big show off for all the different races that we have living here in this fine town..
Email Flatlined...
So remember how I sent out a few emails last week? well so far the only people that have replied to me have been those who I talk to obviously threw twitter.. however thats 2.. and the other 13 who got mails i've got no replies back from. I must admit.. its kinda disappointing but I guess there is a lesson to be learnt here.. if you guys have people you haven't talk to in awhile.. get onto them quick.. or like me they'll just disappear.
You worked for the Who?
I just had one of the coolest customers come into our quiet little shop! He was an old school rodie!! he worked on lighting, sound and all sorts for back from the 70's to the late 8o's! i'm wishing i had a tape recorder or somthing because he was savage to talk to. We got talking about all sorts, and he was telling me about how the history of merchandising and all sorts.
Man.. what a way to start my working week!

.. And a laptop in every kitchen...
So the OLPC has decided that they would go with Microsoft. Now what I don't understand is hearing people up in arms about this. Mainly what I don't agree with is that people are starting to shy away from the project, but you have to think of this for what it is.
The OLPC or (One Laptop Per Child) was designed for just that.. to get one laptop to a 3rd world country. Now, goverments from those countries were not happy with the machine because of its linux interface, so they didn't get as many order's as they really wanted.
If joining up with microsoft is helping them get these laptops to the childen, then I don't quite
understand what we in the 1st World countries can stand around and curse the good work they
are doing.
Poppin EEE's
before you freak out.. thats what I thought was a cool way to say i've just added a few more programs to my EEEPC. I ran into a bit of a spot tho.. i can't get my windows mobile to just act as an external HDD, i'm sure thats because of a driver issue, but i'll get that sorted sooner or later.
I got a interesting version of linux put my way, called eeexbunutu. Basicly its Ubuntu but made for the EEEPC, i tried the live cd.. worked rather well.. so what i might do later today is install it onto the EEEPC and give it a shot. I'm working today so i'll have to look into it, oh and my girlfriend is comming over later.. so.. well maybe tommrow.

Alas xp.. i knew thy well

Well its now just past 1AM and I manged to get xp on the machine a few hours back.. well lets see.. wifi signal was awful, I mean it just didn't connect, the boot time was rather quick, bout 13secs in all.. mind you this was a custom built xp install, so it was taken down to a 600meg install. I used the drivers that came with the EEEPC and whilst I couldn't get most things to work quite right, all in all i think it was enough to have my curiosity finaly delt with.
I would recommend it to anybody who is curious, personally i would love a Mac OS custom built iso to float by onto the torrent scene for the EEEPC.. now that would be something worth checking out
"Because it is there."
George Mallory (1886-1924), answer to the question 'Why do you want to climb Mt. Everest ?'
So I've been at sides all week, I have a fully working EEEPC, it runs Linux well, and i even got dos box to shell out a few games.. but I've been seeing so many people running xp on them.. and slowly I've been fighting myself within. I like Linux, hell i love Linux, and to put xp onto this complete stable machine makes me feel slightly ill.. but then.. I'm always one for a challenge, so i think, with disc in hand.. I'm going to give it a shot you know..
Fingers Crossed.
Nobody emails anymore
So i'm trying a mission, from here in, i'm going to send everybody I have on my list an email, not a forward either, those forwarded emails just send me crazy, but an actual email!
I just get this feeling that if i wait around for sombody to send me mail, just isn't working, so i figure if you want somthing, you have to do somthing first. I've sent a few off so far, and hell a few have come back.. not bounced of course, i mean people have actualy written back to me.
So far, i'm glad to say Ireland is turning out to be a good move, Since moving over from Austraila, i've got a rather good job, nice town, and plenty of computer gadgits, I should try review a few some time, but eh.. thats all for another day.
Oh, before i go.. I've a good question, how come DR never get as sick as most people, even tho they have to treat people every day?
