Well Xbox Live is now down, for 24 hours.. ironicly this dosn't bother me, simply because I hardly play my xbox, and I don't play it much online either.. well with a fair jab at the PS3, I don't play that much online either as well..
While thie masses had their hopes of a brand new shiny Xbox Live interface, I hate to brake it to you all but there will be NO XBOX DASH UPDATE. Everything is server side, so this means the microsoft servers are getting an update, not you. Of course, with the dash being down, people are wondering.. what will they do with no live. My hope is get outside, or they can try dust of the other consoles they may have and show them a bit more love... tho penny arcade sumed up what will more likely happen (of course this is from the last down time so ignore the "wednesday")
So when are we getting an update? well here is the offical scoope
Microsoft’ Games and Live senior product manager, Andrew Jenkins, has today confirmed details of the new Xbox Live Dashboard as news leaks of at least a November release date.
“It will be here before the end of the year, and it is a global release and all 12 million Xbox Live subscribers will get the update at the same time,” said Jenkins, who stopped short of confirming whether a November release date was likely.
News has leaked out that the Harmonix Rock Band 2 game told gamers to “Check out the New XBox Experience coming in November!”
